Usually, when you see a product comparison written by a company, it’s a hack job. But we here at ZeU don’t like hack jobs. We don’t even like the word hack.
We respect our competitors, and we have a healthy admiration for ProtonMail, Gmail, and Outlook.
On the other hand, we wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t point out why you should use our product.
The Suite Life
MulaMail was designed to play well with others.
It’s just one module of the Mula Platform, all of which are designed to work together seamlessly. And you can pick and choose which modules you want. You can also use one of the Mula plugins the team is developing that runs on top of your favourite email client.
Other suites like Gmail and Outlook offer similar functionality but not the same level of security.
We aren’t saying that they aren’t secure. We’re just saying that if you prefer to have an email that can’t be accessed by certain government agencies - give us a call.
ProtonMail is a standalone email product. It offers security but not a suite of products. This is an excellent choice if you don’t want more products than you’ll actually use.
You Get What You Pay For
If you don’t know what the product is, you’re the product.
MulaMail has precise protocols about what data it can collect and how it can be collected. We don’t stalk you around the web. We don’t bury our intentions in the terms and conditions. And opting out of data collection is as simple as using a premium account. You don’t have to hunt through dozens of settings pages to turn everything off individually.
ProtonMail has a commendable approach. Free accounts have limited features, and the company uses revenue from paid accounts and community funding to support free users who need privacy but may not be able to afford it.
But for those of you who like a list, we have one of those, too.
